Terms of Use

1. About the platform

This is a pre-beta draft for a Ghana-focused property marketplace. The final platform name and legal operator identity have not yet been approved and will be published before any external beta. The marketplace is not a conveyancer, land registry, valuer, surveyor, legal adviser, or party to a property transaction unless expressly agreed in writing.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• Provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
• Use the platform only if you can lawfully enter into these Terms.
• Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.
• You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, subject to applicable law.

3. Listings and professional conduct

A person advertising property must be authorised to do so and must provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge. Selecting an Agent/Broker role does not establish that a person is licensed or verified.

• Keep price, availability, location, media, and representative details current.
• Do not copy content without permission or misrepresent a property.
• Comply with the Listing, Advertising & Professional Conduct Policy.

4. Moderation and trust checks

We may moderate content and perform separately scoped trust checks. A badge reports only the check described. Publication or verification does not guarantee ownership, title, condition, legality, availability, professional licensing, or the outcome of a transaction.

5. Enquiries and viewings

Use enquiries, messaging, and viewing requests for genuine property interest. Confirm arrangements independently, protect personal information, and use appropriate safety precautions before meeting or transferring value.

6. Prohibited use

Fraud, impersonation, harassment, unlawful content, deceptive listings, unauthorised access, scraping that disrupts the service, and attempts to bypass security controls are prohibited. The Acceptable Use & Anti-Fraud Policy provides more detail.

7. User content

You retain responsibility for content you submit and confirm that you have the rights needed to provide it. You permit us to host, process, display, resize, and moderate public listing content as needed to operate and promote the marketplace. Private verification evidence is handled separately and is not licensed for public promotion.

8. Availability and changes

We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue platform functions. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Material changes to these Terms will be versioned and communicated through an appropriate channel before they take effect where required.

9. Responsibility and due diligence

Users remain responsible for appropriate independent checks, professional advice, site visits, document review, and transaction safeguards. Platform information is not legal advice. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or close accounts, remove content, or pause listings where reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, or policy enforcement. Users may stop using the service and may request account assistance through the published contact channel. Existing obligations and records may continue where reasonably required.

11. Applicable law

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in Ghana. The final dispute forum and company particulars require approval before production launch.
